Across all of the apps in all of the markets, we are getting between 3,700 and 4,000 new users a day. It’s very exciting and the word is spreading.
I sincerely thank everyone who has left a review, tweeted about, or liked one of our apps on Facebook.
Ear Spy, the biggest app in our arsenal, had a record day on Saturday on Google Play. It was the biggest download day yet (with 2,656 downloads). Even after 18 months on the market, it keeps getting bigger.
After we globalised Ear Spy last month, we have seen thousands of new users from Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, and South Korea (as well as a huge increase in other countries too). Daily downloads have remained consistently above 2,000 per day.
Have a look at the following download history for Ear Spy (on Android):
From this chart, you can see the first 30 days where we quickly got up to 1,000 downloads per day. It kept rising and rising, then suddenly dropped (as we were no longer in a “What’s new” category) and it was very worrying. Then, word started to spread and it crept up again. We had a huge spike in early 2013 for one day– I STILL do not know why, but I suspect it was mentioned in a blog somewhere. Since globalising, we have stayed above 2,000 downloads a day and it keeps rising. We got momentum, and momentum is a powerful thing.
There have been very few blogs or articles written about Ear Spy. Although, I appreciate everyone who has. These are all from organic searches that found our little app. It is so remarkably consistent that I can tell when someone has mentioned it online (you see spikes in the graph).
Every day four thousand people open one of our apps for the first time. They see our logo. They give us a chance to try to impress them.
And we are not going to let them down.
In the works: more apps, more games, and new developers and designers started this week. We’re just getting started.
