Because Ear Spy has done so well, I tried to think of an app that would compliment it. I wanted something that our existing users would enjoy. We came up with the idea for a way to put your phone in another room, and look through it’s camera from your computer. What better name for an app to succeed Ear Spy than “Eye Spy”.
Eye Spy was released this week and I’m very pleased with it.
I wanted to release this as a sequel to Ear Spy. But, since Ear Spy is more of a utility app, it can’t really have a sequel. So, I guess it is a companion rather than a sequel– the same way Excel is a companion of Word.
Our app portfolio is growing. This coming week we will be releasing our next app which is another spy-themed application. We have 1 game currently under development (as well as additional languages for the bubble bath games). So, to use the cliche, watch this space.
Oh, and . . . well, I hesitate to mention this but . . . I like the icon. I had several arguments with our designers regarding the icon. I wanted it to look like Ear Spy with the same spy logo. They wanted something cooler, perhaps bringing in more color. In the end, I decided to go with my icon idea. And, I think I am the only person in the world who likes it. But, special thanks to Anoop and Punita for showing several better options. I could tell they were frustrated with my decisions. We may change the icon in the future. Let me know what you think:
In the end, I had to go with the one I liked.
