Developers Should Get Rid of Tools They Won’t Use – Overpass Insights #77
Last week I canceled my Adobe CC license. I was paying way too much and hardly use it. It felt great! I felt like I canceled a gym membership I never use. I always intended to use it but get stuck in the one-year renewal thing. I’m glad I caught it before it renewed.
The truth is, I kept it and it made me feel bad for not learning it. I was so relieved to let it go. But the same is true for programming languages. We keep going back to them because we think we need to jump to the new language. But we should really remove that distraction. I’m never going to be a Photoshop badass. And it’s time I accept that.
