A few weeks ago, I updated the website to include the latest reviews from Google Play, Amazon, and iTunes. You may notice all the app pages now show reviews of the apps left in the different markets.
Geek-out aside: If you are interested in how it is done . . . it uses the AppAnnie api to download the reviews every day on a timer job into this WordPress database using node.js and I built a WordPress plugin to display them. It is custom-built, but very cool. If you’re interested drop me a line and I will discuss how to set it up for you.
I look at all reviews across all markets– both good and bad. But I’m only going to show the good ones on this site.
I got an email last week from someone about Ear Spy :
I think everyone of these tweets r fake because this app is B.S.
To be honest, the website will only display four and five-star reviews. (and only the ones in English). However, all other reviews are listed on the different markets and you are free to view them. In fact, you kind of have to view them when you go to download the apps. Perhaps all the five stars look spammy, but they are truly legitimate. I’m very proud of all the nice things people have said about our apps.
And, to be fair, the comments have been more good than bad.
If you have any direct feedback for me on the apps or mobile technology or anything else, please let me know.
I have posted some of the hateful comments here from time to time when I thought they were very good (or I wanted to react to the sentiment). Some people just rant–others have genuine and constructive feedback.
But thanks for all the feedback so far. It really makes this worth doing.
